T60P BSOD after System Update

I have a T60p that has just come back from IBM after being re-imaged.
When I run System Update, it finds a bunch of updates, downloads and installs them. It has a problem with the System Migration Assistant, so I skip it.
When I reboot the system, it gives a BSOD.
I can start in Safe Mode and make changes there - however, normal boot always fails.
Any ideas?

What is the nature of the error you are getting? What happens if you start in safe mode with network support? That would eliminate a set of drivers (the network ones if it works, or point to a set if it fails).

I just had the same problem, except I was just doing a normal update and not from a fresh install. My problem was with the recent update of the ATI drivers. I just booted into safe mode and rolled-back that particular driver and it booted fine. From there I just manually downloaded the ATI driver update from Lenovo's website and installed it and everything went fine.
Usually you can garner some clues from the memory dump when it blue screens. Since I run Linux most of the time, I just ran that through strings and saw the driver referenced after the error was the ATI driver.

Thanks, that was exactly the problem.
