If you buy a lenovo CRU mini PCI-Express with Atheros or an other Intel chip, it will work. If you buy a generic Mini PCI-Express, it may not work properly (error, issue, wifi led won't blink).

If you plan to upgrade to wifi agn, it's useless. You need a also a third antenna and there is issue with 802.11n : it works most time only un g mode.

Worse yet, it won't even boot :!:

In the past, there was no-1802.com to get around this limitation. It has been reported however that this hack does not work on newer ThinkPads.

My T60 2613-EAU is customized without wifi module, but antena cables are ready - wifi upgradeable. Hmm, best choice for me is buy original Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Mini-PCI Express Adapter Part Number: 41N3009
Thanks.
