Will October 1st bring new T61p Models?

I'm about to go and place an order for T61p - the NH07-XUK which appears to have all the bells and whistles. Accepting that I could keep waiting and another better model will come out - does anyone know if October 1st will bring new models or should I just order it and wait for delivery?

Once the order is placed in the UK, I can't change it or anything because it would have to be specially made.

Many Thanks,

Tinyestspider

I'd settle for an existing model

All I want is a WUXGA model. I don't even know if they're still working off their backlog or if they've discontinued them. I don't understand how Lenovo - and other computer makers - can tell us that they're not making high-res screens because no one wants them, and yet when they do offer one, it's back-ordered for months.

The model I want to order is a WUXGA screen and I've just been told by someone at Lenovo that the T61p with that screen should all be in green supply in October.

Hopefully that means no delays!

Now I'd like to know if that means they'll bring out lots of new models?

the 6457-7XG is the highest-spec T61p available right now in the UK.   if this meets your needs then order it -- tomorrow's specs don't change what your laptop can currently do today.
