t60 resolution problem

I used System Update for the first time since a few months and now I'm having in issue with my screen resolution. I set my screen to 1280x1240, but every time I resume from hibernate, it goes to 1024x768.

I think it's either a problem with ATI's drivers or the Presentation Director. Has anyone experienced this and/or know a fix? I've tried the Fn+F7 settings > Options > "Automatically Restore Default Display Settings" but the default scheme is not the one I want. I think it's factory pre-set that I can't change.
