Lenovo has new fingerprint software 5.6.2.3650 Release Date: 2007/09/27 That is suppose to fix the following.

FIX: Correct texts are shown in verification dialogs used by CSS
FIX: Fixed behavior of XP logon when smart card reader is present
CHG: Added new WHQL signed driver (Build 99) for Win XP & Vista
FIX: Control Center is not causing about:blank warnings on some web pages
CHG: Biometric performance improvements

Thanks. Have you actually installed the driver? Do you know if it resolved the issue with the slow user logon when awaking from sleep mode in Vista? The previous fingerprint driver would also cause a delay in the windows password logon.

speed from resume seems much better under ultimate x64.

@erik. Can you please time it next time you awake your notebook from sleep mode? Time it from the time the logon screen appears to the time when you are actually able to swipe your finger to boot the OS. Thanks.

it's 7 seconds from opening the lid to a live screen and successful finger swipe -- unscientifically timed by the second hand on my watch.   it's definitely as fast or faster than XP or 2003.

That's includes the resume from sleep? 7 seconds from sleep to finger over the reader?
