Welcome to thinkpads.com!

Your English is perfectly understandable :) .

It sounds like the inverter could be the problem. I do not have a copy of the T60 Hardware Mainenance Manual but if the inverter is mounted in the same manner as some of the earlier systems, it would be the small circuit board inside the lid next to the LCD screen. It should also be attached to the LCD ribbon cable. Check to see that none of the pins in the small connector on the ribbon cable is bent and that the backlight is plugged into the inverter (small connector which goes to the corner of the LCD panel).

hello, thank you for your quick response, the inverter card is inside the LCD lid as you said, I disconected and turn on the laptop, the screen displays the same way, so I think it's the inverter, I purchase a new one from eBay, I'll let you know when it arrives and see what happens .

Hello, my laptop is still damaged, I have replaced both ribbon cable and inverter but still no luck, I also test it with an external display and worked well, so I guess is not a motherboard issue, both the inverters turn on but you can barely see the ligths on, what else could it be the problem, please help.
