Need FRU # for 200GB HD...Arghhh....

Hey all,
I need the FRU # for the new 200GB drive that recently came out. I tried purchasing it on lenovo.com under Accessories, but nothing but 60, 80, and various variation of 100GB drives show up.
It will fit my Thinkpad T60p I've learned on some website, so I'm psyched about it. But can't find it...
So I call them to order and THEY can't find it. I was told to find out the FRU # and call back. WTF!??!?
Thanks all....

It doesn't seem to have filtered its way down to FRU level year, although you can order the systems, I don't think any have shipped yet so they will still have a few weeks to sort out the FRU.
But why wait, just buy a 2.5" 200GB SATA drive from elsewhere - it will be way cheaper than it will be from lenovo anyway

the HGST 200GB 7200rpm drive is FRU# 42T1463. from what i can tell this should be the BDE model. as of today there is no price on it in the system but i can almost guarantee that it will be over $400.
like snife said, you're better off buying the drive separately. newegg has the non-BDE model for
$204.99.

Or, check Best Buy...

From one other thread here, I learned that the external USB Hitachi 200GB drive currently at Best Buy for ~135-165 dollars actually has a 7K200 drive hiding inside (although packaging says it is just a 5400). I picked up the drive for 145 + tax last Tuesday, imaged my old drive to the new one, then swapped old 100GB drive into the USB enclosure and 7K200 into main slot. Very happy with speed and size and the price was right, and it was nice to get the enclosure to boot (no pun intended).
If you search this deal out, check that the packaging serial number starts with DTG..., apparently some users were disappointed to find some of these drives in identical packaging actually do contain 5400 speed drives. Mine was a HTS722020K9SA00, which according to NewEgg, is the 7K200 200GB drive currently offered. The general consensus is that DTG... serials are the newer ones with the 7K200 drives inside.
Guess I should update my signature.
