PCMCIA Express Card Reader + Readyboost

#1 Post by rscosworth » Tue Oct 09, 2007 1:42 pm

Guys,

I can use readyboost fine with my usb card reader/2gb card.

However i have recently aquired a PCI Express PCMCIA card reader and this doesnt allow readyboost.

I find readyboost gives me an increase, but not enough for me to risk damagin my USB ports while moving the laptop about, would be much nicer for it to be inbuilt.

Laptop is 2008Z45 T60 running Ultimate

Cheers

Are you trying to use a SD card? If so try a CF card, I believe you'll find CF cards work.

EDIT: Then again perhaps I am wrong, just tried it again with a CF card and ReadyBoost is not showing up either.
