T60p video issue

#1 Post by catch22 » Wed Oct 10, 2007 5:15 pm

Hello all,

I recently purchased a t60p with the firegl 256mb video card. I updated the video driver via the Thinkpad system update and immediately regrettedit. Every time I shut the lip the screen resolution freaks out and sends all my icons to the left. Also, while I am playing WoW the screen will sporatically refresh slowing from the top to the bottom for 5 - 10 cycles. Can anyone provide a stable driver for me? I am using Win XP Pro. Thank you very much!

Have you rolled back the new driver in Device Manager?

To rollback a device driver right click the Computer icon, select manage, select device manager, select display adapters, select the ATI Mobility firegl V5250, select the driver tab, select Roll Back Driver. This will roll back the video driver to the previously installed driver.

The walk through doesn't appear to be complete. Can anyone else give me a quick step by step in rolling the driver back?

The walk through works as described. Where are you having a problem with the instructions? At the "select the ATI Mobility firegl V5250" instruction you need to either double left click on the card or right click on it and select properties. The screen with the tabed driver will then appear. I just took a stab that this is where you might be having problems.
