My T60p widescreen has developed an interesting problem.
It will not boot at all using the power button, It will however start normally using the power button on the dock. I suspected the button to be defective but it will still shutdown if it is pressed. BIOS problem maybe??

So when the ThinkPad is not in the dock the power button does not work?
If so I would call Lenovo and request a replacement keyboard. The power switch is on the keyboard and the power switch appears to have failed.
