System Update conf load err?

64575KU Vista Ultimate, System update was working and now gets
A problem occurred while loading the System Update configuration settings. Please wait whle System Update Restarts (then it goes into a look)

what u mean by goes into a look? i think you better off the thinkpad system update, i know alot customer had problem after did system update like no video etc....

john, try reinstalling system update.   also, make sure you have microsoft .NET framework 2.0+ installed beforehand (see the notice on the system update page for more info).
