new T61P 6460-67U just arrived

hey guys, just got my T61p through my business via the TAP program.
so anyways got a few questions and a problem, tried to boot from cd with xp pro x64 but once it loaded it didnt see a hard drive
anyone else experience this problem?
and now i know what is means to have a 1920 screen, everything is really small and i dont know if ill get use to it but i will have too,

You need to either change the hard drive into "compatibility mode" in the BIOS, or make a slipstream install CD that has the AHCI driver integrated.

If you have a usb floppy drive the AHCI driver can be installed during the OS installation.

Good point. I should have mentioned that, but even USB floppies are becoming rare. Thanks, steveg47.

Thanks guys much appricated!
guess what is wired about the 646067U, if you go to the american IBM site it says i have a 128mb fx570 video card but the canadian site says its 256 mb which is true
also the canadian model comes stock with bluetooth which is great and the N wireless router - which now i have to figure out how to unlock i suppose? but im pretty sure its enabled because when i go to the value settings of 802.11n it automatically comes up as enabled
so ill find out soon enough tho

6460-67U is not a Canadian model, it's a TopSeller, all the specifications offered for it all around the world would be same.
