Should I disable one of them? or both?

My experience,

New installation, disable the window restore, it will save 3 GB (or whatever setting you put).

Install the RnR4.1 for first time, run and save the System Restore on a USB or CDRW. This is the restore just in case something spoil.

After that if you choose to do a one time system backup, you can.

Last, remove RnR as it doesn't really help that much. You should have your own system to backup al your important data, like using mozy.com or omnidrive or.....
Do what is important, not what is urgent
