Change monitors with Fn+F7

The current way this function is set up:
- First press on Fn+F7 => External monitor on
- Second press on Fn+F7 => Both laptop and external monitor is on (external monitor is a clone)
- Third press on Fn+F7 => laptop monitor only
I'm always switching between external only or laptop monitor only, I never use the clone function. If i want to use both monitors at the same time, i extend the "laptop desktop" onto the external monitor.
So my question;
is there any way to work around the "second press"?
Only switching from laptop and external monitor?
