Is there a difference between these two batteries? For some reason, non-widescreen notebooks come with 6 cell but WXGA come with 4 cell.
I realize that the form is slighttly different (WXGA vs. XGA) but is there a difference between these two batteries?
T61 WXGA 4 cell vs. T61 XGA 6 cell battery
They both sit flush when installed on their respective Thinkpad. The 6-cell holds (would you believe) about 50% more charge than the 4-cell.
Because of the design of the widescreen, only the 4-cell sits flush. The 6 and 7-cell stick out.
Wit the non-widescreen, the 6-cell sits flush and the 9-cell sticks out.

Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
