I want to downgrade my T61p from Vista to Windows XP Professional by myself.

Are there any people tried that by your own? I mean fresh install the XP and download drivers for it?

Are there any potential problem? Anything need to pay attention?

Lenovo has also released installation instructions, it's for Thinkpad T60/p but you'll get an idea about the proceeding:
