Fingerprint power-on on T61

I'm experiencing some strange behavior with the power-on password on my T61. Everything is updated and I'm running the latest fingerprint software. Two fingerprints are authorized to replace the power-on password.
Here comes the problem now. When I start my system the regular fingerprint power-on message comes up, I swipe my finger, it's accepted and then suddenly it asks me to type the power-on password again. It's pretty annoying since it should be replaced by just the fingerprint.
Anybody else had or have the same experience or any solution ? Thanks a lot in advance.
On my Z60m everything works just perfect.

If you set it properly it will.
Start > All Programs > Thinkvantage > Thinkvantage Fingerprint Software > Control Center > Settings > Power-on Security > Check "enable powe-on security using fingerprints".
On the first boot it will still ask you for the password for security purposes then everything should be normal for future boots.

thanks for your reply. That's exactly how everything is set-up. I also knew about the "first boot password" and so far I have swiped both fingers like 100 times and it's still asking me for the password.
Maybe I should re-install everything and try it again.

Maybe you have another password protection turned on in Bios? Like the HDD password protection?
edit: OK, I tried it on my own and had the same result (finger ok and then pwd still required). Setting the Security Chip to "disabled" solved the problem. I now can access my computer only with a finger swipe. neat.

Follow the procedure in the following thread, and see if that helps...
