I was trying to search on this forum whether anyone knows whether it is easy to change out the fan and install a new one. If it is fairly easy where can I find the instructions and whether the parts are cheap. I'm pretty okay with installation ie ram, wireless card... but not when it comes to soldering if I have to... I woud send it to the depot but my warranty's expired...

Download the following HMM, it will tell you exactly what you need to replace your fan including thr FRU number of the part and tools:

Hardware Maintenance Manual - ThinkPad T60/p

The fan assembly is an inexpensive part, you can order it directly from IBM parts website online or by calling.
