Built-in Verizon WWAN better than PCMCIA or USB?
Does the built-in Verizon WWAN with the antenna pick up signal and work better than using a PCMCIA or USB Verizon WWAN adapter? I like the advantage of being able to move my PCMCIA card to another computer, but if the signal is that much better on the built-in than that will decide it for me. TIA David

No, either way you wouldn't feel a difference, signal is determined through frequency spectrum, a good card with an external antenna will do the job.
I've used Sierra card from T-Mobile and found it to be best buck for my mileage.

Thank you. I have this card:ryengineer wrote:a good card with an external antenna will do the job.

I also have a booster antenna which is well rated, but it does not seem to ever make any difference. by "external antenna" do you mean the extra booster antenna or just the part of the PCMCIA card that hangs off the end?

I am talking about integrated antenna, exactly the one that hangs off at the end.
