T60 Hangs coming out of Stnby - Any Ideas?

For the most part - never had an issue for months. Then it became intermittent and now back to stuck mode whether with ac or battery mode.

I use Fn+F4 to put into standby. I click the FN key to come out of standby.

I am then prompted with the FP reader box - I scan my finger and it starts to load, but then hangs. All I get is the default blue screen (ibm map) without the icons loading. I have to shut the power off.
Nothing works cntrl alt delete etc...

Is it possible that some application I loaded at one time messed with Hot key controls and I need to reinstall drivers for hot keys, power mngr etc? I had previoulsy already loaded latest versions.
