Freeze problem on Standby - Error with ACS.exe on T60p

Hello everyone,

I'm having a problem lately I cannot seem to get around.

Everytime I try to go to standby, either with the FN+F4 hotkey, or by closing my T60P lid, the PC freezes during the STANDBY dialog window.

Sometimes it pops an error with the ACS.exe process. This, from what I can gather online, is the Atheros Service.

I have a 11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini-PCIE Adapter

I have tried
  • uninstalling Access Connections
  • Uninstalling/Installing the latest Atheros driver 6.0.3.94 and 6.0.3.107
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks. :)

So I've tried the above....didn't work unfortunately. This has been driving me bonkers.

Anyone else have an idea? or anyone else having this problem?

Run a good registry tool and AntiVirus utility. Go back to page 3 of the previous link, start from uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers from the scratch, this error dates back to Windows 2000.
