Happy with my T60p

#1 Post by strohscw » Tue Nov 20, 2007 4:34 am

Since about 1 1/2 years I own a T60p 15".

I read almost every day the articles in this forum, about all the problems with the Lenovo, with Vista and so on. I started reading this forum few days before I ordered mine, but I read so many complains that I thought to order another brand. The reason I nevertheless did was that a friend of mine has a T43p and is absolutely happy with it.

Now I think it is time for me to open a new topic to tell You all that, even if not everything is perfect, I am very happy with my thinkpad.

I have installed XP-Pro and working with it every day, doing CAD-design, FEM calculations and presentations with office and I have to tell You that I am very happy with the power, with the display (IPS), the keyboard and the overall quality. No problems with missing drivers, perfect wlan access, no temperatur problem, no noise.

The only thing I don´t like that much is the outside finish of the housing, you see every finger print. That leaves room for improvement.

Same here. I've had my T60p (15" flexview) for about a year now, and have been totally happy with it, not a single problem.

Almost same here, but my Fan died once.. and LCD screen developed some strange black dots below the matrix (or on top of it) and both needed to be repaired. :)

People who complain on internet boards tend to be more vocal than people who are chappy which would be most of Lenovo's customers/ Glad to see you are happy with your machine. I just passed the year mark with my R60 which is humming along nicely.

Best ThinkPad I have ever owned.

I am thrilled with the 15" Flexview.

I would like to join you with my 1/2 year old T60-no-p!

Though my T60 is not a "P" model, it has a 15" SXGA+ Flexview screen. It is the best ThinkPad I've used. The merits:

1. SXGA+, the best balance between resolution and font size! High resolution enough with no pains from small fonts.
2. Vivid colour rendering and mild brightness.
3. Problem free with Windows Vista 64-bit.
4. NMB keyboard. :D
5. Solid stong Atheros ABGN wireless connection.
6. No thermal problem and fan noise.

Its gonna be my reliable workhorse for years! No plan to upgrade to T61/T62/T63...... :)
