Will a 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Notebook Memory Model work in a T60p and would it increase the performance over a PC2 5300 Dual Channel Kit?

The faster memory is not supported so it will just downclock. There's no reason to pay extra for it. I suppose if they are the same price, you buy with an eye towards the future.
