Any T61 owners get a faulty LCD?

Might also just be the cable. Not very happy with my T61. Screen went out with less than a month of use. My old T42 (purchased when the line was still owned by IBM) had the mobo crap out 1.5 years in and the screen went out 3.5 years in.

Current timeline for my T61:
10/16/07 Ordered
10/25/07 Shipped
10/29/07 Received
11/27/07 LCD Problems

Haven't dealt with customer support since Lenovo purchased the line, submitted my issue yesterday via their site, haven't heard back from them yet.

What did you guys do to get speedy service? When I sent my T42 in to get the mobo replaced, they overnighted a cardboard box to me. I think I got the laptop back in a week with the microfiber cloth I inserted between the screen and keyboard missing.

If you call the IBM Support Center at the 24/7 toll free number 1-800-426-7378 then you'll get the exact same service.

Thanks, just called. They said a box is already being sent. Strange as I didn't get a call or a confirmation email for my online request. So I didn't realize they processed it...
