My T61 meets with some software errors....

#1 Post by Galford » Thu Nov 29, 2007 4:05 pm

My new T61 have some errors, it is 32-bit Vista bussiness.

Each time it start up, an error of "logmon.exe stopped working and was closed"

Does anyone have an idea why this occur and how to deal with it? It is really boring!!

Also, I could not save the settings of Password manager. For some domains, I do not want it to prompt to save passwords. I changed the preference of Password manager, by all means, and even run IE7 using admin account. After I apply the change and open the Password manager again, nothing changed!

Who knows how to solve it, great thanks!

Have you tried running the Thinkvantage System Update? Even though your machine is new, it can come delivered with outdated software.

You can also try to update your software manually by following this link. You should install the latest Power Manager, at least.

logmon is part of Rescue and Recovery, which I don't use (I uninstall it first thing). If you want to keep R&R, you might try updating that software also to see if it solves your logmon problem.
Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
