i just received my T61(16U-Vista Business) a week ago and everything was working perfectly until i decided to do the system recovery thing. now Im not able to use Bluetooth as before although its recognising my mobile but its failing to connect and recieve files.
when lookin into the Device Manager i found that the Bluetooth Peripheral Device's driver isnt found... tried to uninstall and reinstall, it didnt work....tried system update...nothing worked.
I wonder if this is a common problem with T61?
would be thankfull for any contribution in here

Please make sure you're turning on the device via Fn+F5:
In addition, see the following troubleshooting document from lenovo:
Troubleshooting Bluetooth issues - ThinkPad.
Please also see the following thread:
T60 Bluetooth can't find Nokia N95 mobile phone. SOLVED!!!!!.
The package corresponding to your machine as mentioned in the thread is as following:
Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software for Windows Vista - ThinkPad.

Ok, I just set bluetooth on my thinkpad with Windows Vista and experienced somewhat similar issue, apparently my cellphone was successfully receiving the files but failed to send them.
All I did was:
In the Control Panel (in Windows) > Network and Internet > Bluetooth Devices > Change Settings for a Bluetooth enabled device, I enabled few settings here and there and my thinkpad started to receive files again.
Go through tabs like "Share", "PIM interface" and "Options" you'll find many check boxes there.

i checked the box in PIM interface and it works now! thanks.
PS: i can still see " Bluetooth peripheral device" marked with exclamation mark in the device manager... but what the heck! im now able to use Bluetooth
