Random Freezing on ThinkPad T60 8744-5BU

I just recently moved to a new ThinkPad T60 8744-5BU from my previous T42 which I had for years, and have been having a strange problem that I was wondering if someone could shed some light on.
The issues that I am having is completely random hard freezes. It doesn't seem to happen specifically during any task or application, just completely random. For instance I used it this weekend quite a bit, both on the adapter and off, and never experienced a freeze. Then I come into the office this morning boot up and withing about 5 minutes it had frozen up while I was writing an email in Outlook Web Access. And when I say freeze I mean no blue screen, no error message, the machine just locks up where I can no longer use the mouse or ctrl+alt+del to get any kind of response, I will have to completely power down the machine at that point.
I checked the other threads regarding people having simliar issues where it would just freeze for no reason and I tried all of those solutions but I am still having issues, I seem to get it with or without being on the adapter, with or without being on the battery, and with or without being on one stick of 1GB or two sticks of 1GB. So at this point the only other thing I can try is reloading Windows which I don't think would help because this thing is pretty at its factory state, or calling and I guess having the motherboard replaced?
Anybody have any ideas? I am really disappointed in the T60 that I have at this point and would be perfectly happy going back to my T42 which I never had a single issue with in the 3 years that I had it. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Kyle
