Desktop Icons move after screensaver

Hi
I recently downloaded and installed some of the recent upgrades for the T60p / Win XP SP2, through the thinkvantage system update v.3.
Now I am having a minor but annoying problem of the desktop icons moving when the system comes out of screen saver mode. I have the screen size set to 1280 * 1024 and the icons look to have been moved to fit a 1023 * 786 screen size. the screen saver is the XP show photos from a specific directory.
Installed Updates as follows:
Intel PRO / 1000 Lan adapter 9.7.240.0
ATI Mobility Radeon / FireGL (PCI express-2) 8.383.1.1.3-070621a2-050878C-Lenovo
Third party plugin for Lenovo Thinkvantage productivity centre / Lenovo care 4.0.100.1124
Thinkvantage productivity centre for thinkpad 2.10
thinkvantage active protection system 1.53
intel wireless lan 11.01.0.APIa

Any ideas what I need to do to stop my desktop icons getting messed up after the screen saver quits?
