Unknown PCI hardware message

Hi,
I couldn't find any threads about this so here's my post.
I recently ripped vista off my brand new t61, and put in XP.
Thanks to all the info and people on this site, it went smoothly.
But now I have two items to figure out...
1. Every time after I boot into windows, i get a message about finding a PCI device, and wanting to install a driver for it.
I can't figure out what it is because i've installed all known drivers and did a thinkvantage system update.
2. I am not sure how to verify i installed the intel matrix controller correctly. In my bios, I've set config back to AHCI mode, and it boots. I tried going to Device Manager, and look for any controllers that says Intel anything related, I can't find it.
Does that fact that i can boot up in AHCI mode mean that I installed the driver correctly?
my config is the most basic T61 config with SXGA+, and intel robson card (wish i didn't buy this now), 7200 rpm 100gb, and no other upgrades.
Thanks in advance for any tips.
