disable beep sound?

#1 Post by lintzuchieh » Thu Dec 06, 2007 10:21 am

i use both english and chinese inputs, but when i use the chinese input, and typing in invalid characters, the beep sound is loud and drives me nuts..i think its the ASCII 007 sound is there anyway to disable that? there is no problem when typing english because you can type any characters you want, but not the same for chinese

the only way i can disable that sound is to turn off the speakers completely... but is there a more efficient way?

any help would be greatly appreciately! :(

Start -> Run -> devmgmt.msc
- Show hidden devices in View menu
- Search in´'Non-Plug and Play devices'
- Search for 'Beep' , double click it
- Select disable in both Tabs, Disable automatic start
