Broken keyboard..

The enter key on my T61 seems to have bit the dust. Its mushy, works only if you press it hard and it wobbles. I am hoping to get this replaced under warranty. Is it possible to request specific FRU for a keyboard when getting a keyboard replaced under warranty? If not is it possible to order a specific FRU?
Thank you,
Brad

It depends on who you get when you call in to Atlanta. Generally, they're cooperative if you have an FRU part number ready.

if you cannot get the FRU that you want under warranty, it can be ordered through IBM maintenance parts at 800-388-7080 options 2:1:1. have the FRU number handy and they will give you a quote. shipping/handling is $13.50 via DHL unless you feel like taking a drive over to mechanicsburg (although i'm not certain that they allow over-the-counter or will-call sales).

please excuse my bumping of this thread but..
i was able to fix the enter key that seemed to be malfunctioning at the time of the original post but now the shift key has gone out and I'm unable to recover it. I'd like to call into Atlanta -as specified in the second post of this thread- but I'm not sure which is the best number to call.. will 1-800-426-7378 get me connected to Atlanta or will that take me to off shore tech support? thanks.

The number you've stated will get you to Atlanta.
