Hi,

Has anyone incorporated a solid stat disk for a Thinkpad (T60) ?
Is it even possible?

:D
Thanks.

It's certainly possible. There are 2.5" SATA SSDs out there.

heard that every hard drive needs to be listed in the bios to work with a t6x. I doubt any new ssd is listed there. Also lenovo has its own set of commands to operate the HD, which may not be comaptible with the new ssds. for example only lenovo has hd commands for "immediate head off the disk" triggered when free-fall is detected by the system.

Actually T6x BIOS does not check for hard drive IDs. You can put any SATA 2.5" drive in it.

Currently they are quite pricey. 60 gig is around $1000 I believe.
