T60 Hangs

I have just received and set up a T60 and am having hangs that I need help resolving.

The system does not hang on shutdown normally. I can put it on the ThinkPad Essential Port Replicator, attach an external monitor, keyboard and mouse, and it still shuts down without hangs.

BUT if I attach a Belkin F5U307 7-port hub, the TP hangs every time on shutdown when it's on the port replicator. I have tried plugging it into each of the four USB ports on the port replicator with the same result.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what I can do to prevent these hangs?

Thanks.

Does the T60 hang with 'just' the Belkin hub attached and no devices attached to the hub? Are you using the AC adapter in the hub?

Yes

Yes, it does hang if the only thing attached to the port replicator is the USB hub. And, yes, I am using the AC adapter on the hub. In fact, I have another Belkin 7-port hub (the F5U237) and I have the same result when I try to use it.

Could it be that in the device manager, I need to go into the Power Management tab of properties for the USB Root Hub listings and uncheck the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"?

Try it, let us know if it makes any difference. Are you running XP?
