Hey guys

I have a t60 my wife took to work with her and something spilled in her bag while transporting the laptop. We cleaned it up and let it dry for 2 days. I took it apart and the motherboard looked ok/clean but there were some areas inside the bottom of the palm rest that were sticky. After cleaning visible stickyness I powered up the laptop with no problems for a few minutes then the right half of the screen slowly went bad little by little.

The VGA output is fine to an external LCD and everything is working ok other than the LCD. Would this be a simple LCD replacement or could the LCD controller be damaged?

Several bad LCD column drivers - they can be rebonded/repaired, but i'm sure it's more expensive than a new LCD.
Also check that the cable sits well attached to the LCD, just to leave that possibility out.

Thanks for your advice. I cleaned up the LCDs column drivers and it looks much better, but I lost the widescreen... Below I tried to take pics of these little black marks, I assume these are the lifted/bad traces? Can I just resolder those spots?
