My T60 i starting to electrocute me. It is not much, but it still hurts like hell.
It only happens when I have my AC powerplug plugged in. If it runs on battery nothing happens and it works like normal.

But when the AC power is in the laptop I get electrocuted if I put my wrist on the fingerprint reader or the left side of my thinkpad (where the PCMA card entrance is)
It feels like having a needle going in and out of you wrist a thousand time in a split second. also if I have the adapter for my Ipod shuffle in the USB and toches the plug at the end of the shuffle adapter I also get this like static electrocuted.

When the power is in and the lid is closed and I just hover my finger tips around the lid it also feels VERY VERY static.

Any suggestions?

That's because the weather is getting dry. My R50p has also gotten very static. My solution is, I take off my shoes and socks and constantly put my feet on some metallic furniture to ground myself while using the laptop.

These static shocks can ruin a laptop.

If you had used Z series with titanium lid then you would take your words back that T60 is very static.

A little trip to hardware store few days ago led me to come across an antistatic spray to prevent static shocks which costs only $2.99. You can find it in Office Depot as well. One may consider buying it if these shocks are a serious problem for someone.
