I just found out my 7k100 is not a 7k100... It's a seagate drive!!!
Is this normal?

T60p - 2007-83G - TMD - NMB - Sanyo (9)/Panasonic(6)

They use what they can get at the time. The good news is having a Seagate drive allows you a free download of DiscWizard from Seagate's website. It is essentially Acronis True Image which is a nice backup utility.
