increasing Hard Disk Size and changing Intel 3945ABG card

#1 Post by Richard » Wed Dec 19, 2007 6:44 pm

We have a T60P 8742-C6U with a 100 Gig 7,200 rpm drive. Would like to change out hard disk drive for a 7,200 or 10,000 rpm 250 Gig drive. Currently have 90 gig of data on the exisiting drive. Would also like to upgrade to Intel 802.11ABGN card.
Thoughts and Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you and Happy Holidays
Richard

Bigger HD won't be a problem. You can basicaly put any 9.5mm 2.5" sata drive in it. 10k RPM is another story though, I have not heard of one.

You should be able to replace with any current IBM wifi card. N will probably need an additional antenna, unless your's already has it.

You can add ThinkPad 11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Express Adapter (FRU # 42T0825) instead.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
