t60 widescreen

Hey guys,

I just got a t60 widescreen that someone sat on and I replaced the LCD. I have to say I love the widescreen, but it is borderline portable.

I was wondering what the small slide out thing is on the left side of the LCD? behind the LCD it looks like an antenna, but a coworker told me there are accessories that slide onto the side of the screen... I have never seen these accessories?? If anyone knows what it would be used for please advise.
