vista vs xp video. please look!

#1 Post by snorlax360 » Tue Dec 25, 2007 1:56 am

hey guys, I have a T60 and i played pro evolution soccer 6 on vista and it ran smoothly but i didnt like vista very much so i decide to go back to xp pro x32 and now I cant play the game. i was wondering is it because of this

Intel X3100 (940GML, 945GM, GL960, GM965)
Windows Vista 64 bit * 09 Nov 2007
v7.14.10.1329 N/A
Windows Vista 32 bit

* 09 Nov 2007
v7.14.10.1329
N/A
Intel (940GML, 945GM, GL960, GM965)
Windows XP, 2000 29 Aug 2007
v6.14.10.4860

that was at the ibm download site. is it because when i ran vista i was able to run the intelx3100? now on xp i am runniing intel express family chipset. but i dont think that's the problem tho, going back to xp shouldnt cause this problem! any help would greatly be appreciated!!
merry x-mas!!

Not sure why it wouldnt run on XP is there any errors that appear when you try to run it or does it just start loading the game and shut down the program like many others do. My suggestion is to look for an updated driver either off lenovo or Intels website for your video card. If that doesnt work you can check windows update. I am not fond of getting hardware updates especially for video there but have heard some people using it to get a new driver and it working. If I get some time today while building machines I will look around to see what drivers I can find but it may be this evening before I can really dig into it.

Have a good day.
