IBM Security Chip

#1 Post by Padhead » Tue Dec 25, 2007 5:28 pm

Since I had to do a recovery and restore last week, I was playing around in the BIOS in today.

I noticed that the IBM Security Chip was not enabled. What are the pluses and minuses of enabling it?

Does all of my software have to be genuine if it is?

Security? For who Microsoft and the government, or me?

you can enable it in "client security solution"
Once activated, you can use finger print and password protection, etc.
It's for your protection.
