t60 widescreen 4:3 when resume work?

#1 Post by jiggysmb » Wed Dec 26, 2007 6:19 pm

Hey guys, I have a small annoyance with my widescreen. When the laptop goes into sleep mode and I resume working on it the screen comes up in 4:3 with black bars on the side. I must go into desktop settings and then change from 1024x768 back to 1440x900. Is there a way to make it always come back in 1440x900?

MOD EDIT: Moved from X6x to T6x forum.

Do you have Presentation Director installed? If so then look at the following thread:

LCD resolution changes when I close the screen.

And please post in the right forum next time. Thanks.

j3ff- where do you suggest I post if not under the T6x thread?

ryengineer- No presentation manager installed. Where can I locate "thinkpad settings"? I have System Update, Access Connections, Power Management and Fingerprint software, but no thinkpad settings... I do have an ATI Catalyst app that has some graphic tuning capabilities but not much on resolution.

Run the ATI Catalyst Control Center, set the View to Advanced and make sure the Desktop Area under Displays Manager is set to 1440x900.

steveG- That is how it is set up...

Would it help to uninstall the ATI software?
