T61p 15,4 WUXGA manufacturer

#1 Post by pavelz » Fri Dec 28, 2007 8:28 am

Hi,

since there are two types of LCD in T61p, I'd like to know who is manufacturer of LCD in my notebook. PC Wizard says that manufacturer is LP154WU1-TLB1 (LEN4055). Is there any way how to recognize that without disassembling the notebook?

Thanks

It is LG. That's interesting since the hardware manual says Samsung only http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-68233

Mine is a Samsung LTN154P2-L05

Belarc doesn't probe the monitor to this level.

Is this manufacturer the same one that produces the 15in UXGA Flexview screen? Since I noticed that it seems the 15.4'' WUXGA option was no longer available on lenovo's site.

no, the WUXGA panels are made by Samsung and LG where the UXGA panels were made by BOE-Hydis and IDTech.   each panel has multiple vendors.

if WUXGA isn't currently listed online then it's because stock is low.   you can still order a T61p with this panel by calling 866-96-THINK and speaking with a sales rep.
