t61p not turning on

Hi,
I just bought a t61p. Everything appeared to be working just fine. I went away for a few days without the machine, came home and the thing wont power on.
The little green plug light comes on.
I press the power button, the little green plug light goes out and stays out and the machine does not come on.
I tried removing the battery, same thing. Different power supply, same thing.
I called IBM and they want me to mail it in. I was just looking to see if there is anything I can do before I am without this machine for over a week.

- unplug system and remove battery

- press the power button ten times repeatedly

- then hold down the power button for 25 seconds in order to completely discharge the capacitors, etc.

Try plugging in the AC power and attempt to boot. If nothing happens, then repeat the process but run off of the battery instead (no AC adapter).
