Battery management software

#1 Post by Padhead » Tue Jan 01, 2008 10:40 pm

Anyone know where I can get the link to the Battery management software that also shows how many cycles that have been used and other useful battery information.

It's on this site somewhere , but I cant find it this time.

I am not looking for the Lenovo battery software.

Thanks.

the Lenovo Power Manager is the one that shows battery cycles and stuff like that. There's other programs such as Notebook Hardware Controll but that's for messing with voltages and clocks and fans. If that's what you want then there ya have it, if not then i got no idea what you are talking about :)

If you have the Lenovo/ThinkPad Power Manager software installed launch it and click the Battery Information tab (If no info is displayed, click on the arrow next to Battery details...) this will give you the cycle count, % reamaining, Batt manufacturer, serial number, part number ...etc.

Note: On rare occasions when I have changed power schemes or taken the Batt off the ThinkPad, the Batt info does not display and is not restored under re-boot or cold boot - I have had to un-install and re-install the Power Manager software to make good. Also if the info/firmware stored on the Batt gets corrupted, it may upset the Lenovo/ThinkPad Power Manager software too!

If there is 3rd party alternative software, please post - thanks

It's in this site somewhere. I downloaded it from a thread about a month ago, but I had to recover my machine last week. This time I can't find the link.
