nview_info Event 1 error

I recently purchased a ThinkPad T61 7664-17U. I downgraded from Vista to XP Profession. I have a Xerox monitor attached to my Lenovo port replicator.

I occasionally look at the XP Event Logs. Periodically my Application Event Log almost completely fills with the same (same time & date) red "X" nvidia Event 1 error - "The description for Event ID ( 1 ) in Source ( nview_info ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: NVIEW : explorer: Shared heap exhausted or damaged, process ID d70, total alloc:173e0..."[/i]

I really don't see any real physical evidence of this problem (performance loss, error notification, etc.) as I use my TP but others on the web have. Found no solution on the web but it has been recommended to load the most recent nvidia drivers. My drivers are up-to-date with the Lenovo web site but there is a later driver on the nvidia website. There is also a warning at the nvidia website that you should use your computer vendor’s latest copy since the vendor may not support the newest driver.

Since I don't see an affect from the error (although occasionally I notice a drop in performance), so I'm inclined to ignore it for the time being....but it bugs me not knowing how to fix it!

Any ideas? Thanks, Ron
