I'm thinking of buying a T61 with a standard 14.1" display (non-wide screen).
I just want to make sure it has a thinkpad roll cage and a top cover roll cage.
It says in the tabook found here:

http://www5.pc.ibm.com/us/me.nsf/downlo ... tabook.pdf

that all T61's have both.

But I just want to make sure.

Any imput would be appreciated. :D

T61 with 4:3 display hasn´t Top Roll Cage :!: , only WS 14 has it.

So why would the tabook say it does?

This review also says it has it:

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks,

It seems that all T61 has Top Roll Cage (14,1; 15,4; 14 4:3) , but R61 just only 14,1 WS, not 15,4 WS

What's the roll cage supposed to do for the screen? Does it protect the screen if you happen to step on it?

I'm sure it would protect it from you stepping on it if it can do this

but that's only one of the funtions.

It's for added protection, to reduce screen flex, protect it if dropped, etc.

Any more thoughts on if all T61's have it including the 14 in. 4:3 screen, which I am now a proud owner of.
