ThinkVantage does not give me F11 to recover

#1 Post by DavidR » Sun Jan 06, 2008 12:29 pm

I need to reset the drive using the hidden IBM partition. The ThinkVantage button does not give me that option. PartitionMagic shows the partition as healthy but I can't set it as active. Any suggestions? R51e

You may have done something to your MBR. Did you put another partition software on your hard drive?

Best way to recover if that is the case is with the recovery CDs.
HP Omnibook 800CT 166Mhz Pentium I with PuppyLinux (just to see if it is still possible!)

DavidR <--- $45.00 plus shipping (Lenovo says 'Thanks")

or, you can call tech support and plead your case - they may send them for free
