Hi there!


I am just about to buy a T60. But this one is equipped with a combo drive only, so I would not be able to burn dvds. Which is not that bad at all, as I like this I am able to replace by a drive of my choice.

If anyone of you knows a drive which is:

- reliant (good burning results)
- silent
- not too expensive
- Ultrabay Slim Drive

please let me know. I would like to be able to write on CDs, DVDs (+/-/RW at the very least).

all the burners for the T60 are about the same. They are called Super Multi-Burner. You can search ebay for that or Part Numbers:

is just one that i have but there's 2 or 3 more i think.

They burn all formats (not sure if all do DVD-RAM discs). So + or - or their RW counterparts are there. Then there's the DL (Dual-Layer) ones too, only difference being the speed at which they burn RWs or DLs. They all max out at 8x for -R/+R
