Graphics Issues with T61

#1 Post by katmac » Wed Jan 09, 2008 10:03 am

My boss has a T61 laptop. Over the holidays, he was working on the laptop on his lap and his new puppy ran over the keyboard! The display changed 90 degrees to a portrait view instead of landscape and the print was sideways. He had to tilt the laptop in order to read the screen and it also shifted the mouse keys on the touchpad. He called our company's helpdesk with no satisfaction. They had him change some settings and got the screen back to landscape and the print not running sideways. Today however he has a new problem. The screen resolution seems stretched just a bit and he cannot load any maps when he goes out to Google which he could do before the puppy incident. "Loading....." appears on the Google screen but nothing happens.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on? It seems like some initial display settings are gone but is there a way to get them back? Any hints at a fix would be greatly appreciated. And believe me, this could only happen to him!
Thanks!
