Hi,

on a T61 running Linux, latest bios breaks hdaps. A perfectly working setup now produces following errors:

Code: Select all

thinkpad_ec: thinkpad_ec 0.32 loaded.
tp_smapi 0.32 loading...
tp_smapi successfully loaded (smapi_port=0xb2).
hdaps: initial mode latch is 0x05
hdaps init failed at: hdaps_check_ec failed
input: ThinkPad HDAPS joystick emulation as
/devices/platform/hdaps/input/input13
input: ThinkPad HDAPS accelerometer data as
/devices/platform/hdaps/input/input14
hdaps: driver successfully loaded.

# cat /sys/devices/platform/hdaps/position
cat: /sys/devices/platform/hdaps/position: Device or resource busy
Does this happen in windows too (I don't know how one can test hdaps on windows, but...) or is this a Linux-only issue?

How can one report a bug on thinkpad bios to Lenovo?

Thanks

active protection works fine under windows with BIOS 2.07.

i don't believe lenovo has an official channel for bug reports but will look into it.
